Fasting pie with cabbage and mushrooms - reddish, delicate and very tasty with juicy filling, which can diversify your fasting. The pie is simple and made with accessible ingredients, and the result is enjoyable every time! So simple, tasty and economical.

INGREDIENT:

For the dough:

& # 8211 10g of fresh yeast (or 1 teaspoon of instant dry yeast)

For the filling:

& # 8211 280 gr of chopped cabbage

& # 8211 ½ teaspoon of tomato paste

& # 8211 salt, sugar and spices - to taste

& # 8211 1 small bunch of parsley

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

1. Add the crushed yeast to the bowl with warm water and stir until it dissolves.

2. Add sugar, salt and oil.

3. Mix and incorporate in a few batches the sifted flour preventively.

4. Mix again until you get a smooth dough. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and leave the dough to rise for about 40-50 minutes.

5. Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Cut the onion into thin quarters and cut the carrot through a large grater. Fry the vegetables in a pan with a little oil for a few minutes.

6. Add the mushrooms cut into fairly small pieces, mix and fry everything together for 3-4 minutes.

7. Add the tomato paste, mix and add the finely chopped cabbage.

8. Cook the filling for 5 minutes, then pour a little water and simmer under the lid over medium heat until the cabbage becomes soft. If necessary, add a little more water.

9. Finally, when all the liquid has evaporated, season the vegetables with salt and black pepper. You can also add a powder of sugar to balance the taste of the filling. We also used a little cumin, and you can add your favorite spices.

10. Transfer the filling to a plate to cool.

11. Grease the form (22 cm) with oil, add half of the dough and distribute it in an even layer.

12. Then add the filling so that it remains about 1 cm free up to the walls of the mold, and sprinkle it with chopped parsley.

13. Cover the filling with the remaining dough, spreading it with a fork.
